From where I'm sitting it's wildly apparent that I ain't nebah (yes, I was an English major!) gonna catch up again.
Therefore I've decided to toss a few Notes from All Around at you today.

Have you ever given any serious thought to seeking professional help? I think that they would work on you for free,

WILD GIGGLES!!! (Wayne's comment was a result of my sending him some outrageously weird images which had
been sent to me by my niece, Shari).

Whatever it is, my sister, who was six years old when I was born, assures me I was that way right from the beginning.
And I would bring a friend, 'deed I would, but I don't know anybody that weird! Thanks, Wayne!

Just for the sake of helping me get my contest book updated, I was wondering if you good tell me when the "old" contest
was held? I mean the "new" one was 4-23-04, approaching 3 months ago, and I'm having trouble remembering that one.
You can imagine the misery that plagues me regarding remembering the "old" contest.

I'm sure there are other contests which escape my feeble brain at the moment. These contests are so old they pre-date
my now obsessive date-stamping of everything, so goodness only knows how old they really are. Nevertheless, you made
your point - I removed the "New Contest" link from the front page. (It's still available within the Band section.) Thanks, Wayne!

What a small world it is, I ran into Betty Takis yesterday in Richmond. Do you remember her?
She left NNHS in her junior year, and transferred to Ferguson. Her sister Flossy finished at NNHS,
not sure what year. I told her about your great work on our wed page, and hope she joins in on our page.
The Greek community is still hanging together, tying to get George Anas to attend our reunion. I am on the
reunion committee, and we are having a great time planning the big event.

Thanks, George - how fun! Yes, I remember Betty and Flossie - and also Tessie Takis from the Class of '62.
I'm trying to imagine the sensation of actually running into somebody by chance. I'm still adapting to the thrill
of seeing y'all every few months at planned events!

Y'all be sure to get George Anas to the reunions! I haven't seen him in forty-eleven years!

Dear Carol: I wish to read your newsy news but when I type in the long
address I keep getting "Reunion, find a lost friend". It could be I am totally inept
and or my iMac is not compatible. Any how I will keep trying. When I do
connect every once in a while, I enjoy hearing about how things have changed and
various news items mostly about you "younger guys" but I enjoy the news any way.

But, Pam - this is most dreadful news! The idea of the links is to save you the trouble of typing; theoretically,
you should just be able to click on the link and be magically transported. I suspect your AOL is converting
everything to a "Keyword", and that won't really work. But my lack of knowledge of AOL is surpassed only
by my lack of knowledge of iMac (though I suspect if you were to throw in the deadly Dell "blue screen", you
might be instantly transported to the Bermuda Triangle). So we must defer to our panel of experts out there.

Can anyone help Pam rejoin the fun? Someone who speaks AOL, for instance? Thanks, Guys!

And as for "older guys" vs. the "younger guys" - I think the older ones are swiftly gaining on us post-1965 types!

I'm trying to replace a NNHS school ring that was destroyed. I'm a member of the rare
1972 class of NNHS. A small group of loyal Typhoons, who were forced to transfer to other
schools in 1972 due to busing, were allowed to have NNHS listed as their graduating
High School.

I'm trying to replace my treasured class ring. I know I may never find a 1972 NNHS ring,
but an earlier one could be modified to replace the year. I hope someone out there might
know where I can obtain a man's NNHS ring. If you do, please contact me. Thanks.

Can anyone help Brian in his quest? Certainly one of you resourceful souls out there has a plan...

I am SO enjoying the faculty pages. I also had Mrs. Baker for chemistry. My memory of chemistry class
is that I sat in front of Willard Robins ('62) and was in love with him the entire year! He would pull my hair
or tickle me or do something to get a reaction and then I would get in trouble with Mrs. Baker...she never
seemed to catch on that he was the instigator...but once or twice she would call on him and start by saying
something like "Mr. Robbins, if you can kindly take your attention away from the lady in front of you..."
and of course he did not know the answer so I was gleeful...

Another memory...being in Mr. Nuttycombe's history class when I was a "mouse"...he would always call
on me when I did not know the answer...heck, I did not know the question! It was right after lunch on the
first floor and you could see out the window...and your friends would walk by and well...he would be proud
to know that I have learned a little bit about American history by watching the History channel and asking
my husband (who is a history buff) the things I need to know...also have managed to memorize all the important
dates: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Fourth of July. In college I had an American history
teacher who dropped his voice at the end of every sentence. It was at 8 a.m. on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. All
of my notes ran off the page as I fell asleep...my room mate and I had a deal, one of us would stay awake
throughout the entire class...we never made it...she fell asleep, too!

I had Mr. Wayne Taylor for Algebra...after getting a D in it the first time around with another teacher...I was
scared to death of him but I did very well, I think I got a B. Tom Freeze would help me with my homework
and then I would usually pull a better grade on the test than he did...very embarrassing!

Miss Brewer was very patient with us clowns in Latin 2. I do not know why I took Latin but I enjoyed it and
I am sure it helped me on my SATs. I made my son take Latin and he said the same thing...they do not offer it
in public high school here.

to hear the music and see what happened during that time and the price of gas,
bread and other interesting things. I am having so much fun ......... it is wonderful
and it has brought back so many good NNHS memories.

Once again, your ministry has caused a shower of blessing in a time of urgent need. The Lord honors those
who are faithful, and have charity. You will find many blessings coming to those who have shown compassion
and charity. You are receiving such a wonderful blessing as the "Conduit" as you have been called recently.
I prefer to use the term channel, for the Lord is channeling blessings to those in need and using your ministry
as a channel. You and Dave (Spriggs - '64) of VA) are wonderful instruments, having fun doing what you
do, and being available and responsive to the needs of others and sharing those needs so they can be fulfilled.
We know that all the honor and glory goes to our Heavenly Father, who provides for us and loves us.

Bless your sweet heart, Joe - when you're not making me laugh myself silly, you're choking me up this way.
Thank you for your kind words. This was such a personal message I started not to share it, but I thought that
would be incredibly selfish and just plain wrong, so I changed my mind.

Dave's contributions to the web page have been astronomical, and we're all grateful to him for them. Your own
efforts in the last two months have been rather monumental as well. Thank you both, gentlemen - so very much!

Well, I guess we must NEVER doubt the ability of us humans to come forth when needed! I am so glad I grew up
WHERE I did and belong to y'all! God bless us and we ARE truly wonderful!!! We should NEVER doubt human
goodness, even with all the negativity around us we persevere! Frankly, I think we're WONDERFUL!!!

And yes, it's patently ridiculous that for the last 2-1/2 years we've lived less than an hour apart and haven't seen each other
a single time. We have to fix that! Strangely, I was quite unexpectedly in Apex for several hours last night. But I didn't have
your number with me - and, oh, yes, as Dave Arnold says, I'm one of the three people in the USA still lacking a cell phone.
That's what's wrong. I need another machine! Oh, well, it could happen yet. I've learned that practically anything can happen -
and very often does.
