Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Happy Belated
Birthday to Mark Friedman ('65) of VA, whose birthday was yesterday.
I didn't forget, Mark; I just had some
crazy fantasy that I'd be able to put out a Newsletter last night. HA-HA!
HA-HA-HA! Sorry.....
And a Happy Birthday today to Bobby Turpin ('58) of VA!

NEW POLICY:
I
received a great deal of input over the weekend concerning the
Newsletters. It seemed to be
equally divided between, "Carol,
I just LOVE your Newsletters! I wish there were a new one every day" to
"Honey, you and your Newsletters are great, but you're
clogging my mailbox something fierce. Can you just take a chill pill and
lighten up a bit?"
Sociopath that I
am, I shall try to make everyone happy at once. The plan is I will write
the Newsletters at least as frequently as I
am now, but I'll only send out reminder emails the first of every month.
Meanwhile, you may check for updates both at the top of the
front page of the site, and along the sidebar of links:
http://www.nnhs65.00freehost.com/
If the date has changed, there's a new Newsletter:

If one of you has a better plan, please let me know.
By the way, you'll notice a change of appearance and some fresh goodies for you on the front page as well. There will be more details forthcoming on this tomorrow.
The 40th Reunion
of the Class of 64 itself was simply amazing. I'd tell you that it was
colossally stupendous, but I don't want
to understate the reality. The vision of Dave Spriggs and the
ceaseless hard work of his committee combined for a simply flawless
reunion which lacked absolutely nothing.
I'd personally
like to extend an enormous Thank You for all that they did to make the
weekend so memorable for so many people.
We'll have a more official report from the committee for you tomorrow as well.
From Wayne Stokes ('645) of VA - 10/24/04:
Thanks, Wayne! I really was delighted
to see you there myself. More details on the purchasing of the NNHS mugs
will be in tomorrow's Newsletter - truly!
It certainly was
wonderful seeing everyone
last night. The evening was a great success! Thanks to the class of '64
for inviting the rest of us. A superb job by the
committee. And THANKS to
you, Carol for the website that keeps us
informed.
I'll agree with you, Judy - it was fantastic, and I really enjoyed seeing you and Jerry again! Thanks!
Thanks, Cheryl.
Your attachment didn't make it through to me, but your feelings made it through
loud and clear. We'll keep both
you and John in our thoughts and prayers this year.
Here are the first 14 images to arrive from this weekend's incredibly marvelous 40th Reunion of the Class of 1964:
There will be much, much more on these and many other subjects tomorrow! And many of them will be WOWZERS!!!
Y'all take care of each other.
Love to all, Carol

Gollum's Song
(Performed by Emiliana Torrini)
Where
once was light
Now darkness falls
Where once was love
Love is no more
Don't say goodbye
Don't say I didn't try
These tears we cry
Are falling rain
For all the lies you told us
The hurt, the blame!
And we will weep to be so alone
We are lost
We can never go home
So in the end
I'll be what I will be
No loyal friend
Was ever there for me
Now we say goodbye
We say you didn't try
These tears you cry
Have come too late
Take back the lies
The hurt, the blame!
And you will weep
When you face the end alone
You are lost
You can never go home
You are lost
You can never go home
