I had her for American History in 11th grade. My strongest
recollection
of her was that she never missed an opportunity to tell us that she was
from South Carolina and that her maiden name was Stackhouse.
Her hero was Francis Marion a.k.a. The Swamp Fox.
As she was a strong minded lady and so irrevocably connected to the genteel Old
South,
